Can anyone help with this very frustrating problem i have, please.

I have a laptop (Durabook S14Y) that connects to the network fine but then will lose connection to all network resources. The system will report that network cable is unplugged and if i try to access a mapped network drive i get Error connecting R|:......... The local device names is already in use.

Sometimes i can run netsh winsock reset catalogue and reboot and get connectivity back, but not everytime.

I have run Trend and Spybot scans on the laptop (in safe mode), run Highjackthis and none of them have found anything.

I have created a new profile and logged on using that. Have changed desks, cables and laptop but still get the error. I have deleted all documents, created a new pst file and deleted the old one - as these where the only things common to both laptops and user profiles, but nothing has fixed the problem.

I have even disconnected the USB printer and wireless mouse, but still lose the network connectivity.

The laptop is running XP SP2.

Can anyone help with tis very frustrating problem, please???
