Hello geoffo,
The router firewall is mainly to protect from unauthorised access to your computer or network however it is not 100% safe. If someone was to bypass the router firewall, they would then have complete access to any unprotected systems on the network. ![]() While no security set up can offer complete protection, having a hardware firewall (router) and a software firewall can improve your protection.
