i try to uninstall and i get a popup saying "File 'C:\program files\ffdshow\unin000.dat' does not exist. cannot uninstall". i tried uninstalling another program, orbit, and got the same message. but with super antispyware, i was able to uninstall.

Are you uninstalling from 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel?

Re-install the applications and then try uninstalling them.

I Juha's suggestion doesn't work, try searching for the programs folder and see if they have an uninstall file
Another thing to try is to download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
If they are listed there, check their box and run the app.

i tried through control panel and ccleaner-same response. both programs that won't install are currently working, but i think i'm having a problem with ffdshow and my music, so i want to try to uninstall. through program files there is an executable, saying setup/uninstall, but when i click on it, it says it doesn't exist. i tried using the cleanup utility, but it didn't list either. i will try reinstalling it now.

yeah, that worked-install then uninstall. But it didn't solve my problem- Internet and Music stopped working - like i hoped it would.
