Nor can I update my Spybot on my system. Could they be blocking my ISP, or my IP specifically? I can not find any local (being my systems) reason for this. |

Still having this issue.
Could someone give me the email address for the safer-networking.org admin so I can see if I am being blocked, or if it is something local with my ISP? |

I cannot find an email add. on the website you mentioned, but I wonder id you can get onto their support forum at http://forums.spybot.info/ where you should be able to post your problem.

That won't work alumbagh, seeing as the support forums and the safer-networking domain are on the same server with the same IP. It looks like the query is getting dropped early in the route. It is not the domain's fault at this point. I would suggest you contact your ISP and see if they have made any changes. I can get to both Safer-Networking and spybot.info just fine.
See if you can ping the address. -------------------- I amar prestar aen. Han mathon ne nen. Han mathon ne chae. A han noston ne 'wilith. - Galadriel

No I can not ping the server either:
C:\Windows\system32>ping www.safer-networking.org Pinging www.safer-networking.org [89.238.64.39] with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 89.238.64.39: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss), C:\Windows\system32> I have no clue what is wrong, and my ISP states there is nothing wrong on their end... go figure. |

Well from the results of that traceroute, your ISP is right... looks like the problem is down the line. It barely leaves your ISP, so there's a backbone issue there. I'd get on their case about it and get them to figure it out. The problem is not on your end, and it is not on Spybot's end either. There is a block somewhere in the middle (well technically not the middle, but you get the idea).

There is a block somewhere in the middle (well technically not the middle, but you get the idea). I had called my ISP and they have forwarded it up the food chain so to speak. They finally agree that it is not my local systems that have the issue, and that there is something wrong down the line. Hopefully they get it fixed quickly as I download updates from Spybot daily (if possible) in efforts for spyware removal for customers. As it sits, I can't even get the weekly updates, or immunization database updates. |
