QUOTE To disable Firefox 3`s compatibility check (and use the old addons) do the following: * Enter about:config as website address and click the warning away. * Right click into the window and choose New -> Boolean * Give it the name extensions.checkCompatibility and set it to false Now your Firefox 3 will also load old extensions. alternatively we can install nightly tester tools add-on, which can be used to force compatibility for uncompatible addons ... It's not that the add-ons aren't compatible (some of them were but I might find compatible versions) but they just arent installing. All of them have a status of "This addon will be installed when firefox is restarted" no matter how many times i restart.

I also think you you should reinstall FF. I also installed FF3 on "Download Day" and during install got a message saying that the Google Toolbar I had with FF2 was not compatible with FF3 and would be uninstalled. It then installed a compatible version and it and my other addons are all working fine. Today I got a message saying that there was a new version of Stumbled Upon available. I use AdBlock Plus + NoScripts + Google Toolbar + Stumbled Upon + Veoh Browser Plugin as addons.

Actually, i tried reinstalling last night. All the add-ons are still saying to restart. I really wish there was some way that i could force-uninstall all my addons and start from scratch

You will need to do a complete removal of all Firefox components, including your present profile. Be sure to save your bookmarks to a separate file before the uninstallation.

I just fixed it lol. All i did was go into C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox and there was a folder called "extensions" and i just cut the files from that folder into a seperate folder and when i restarted there was only 2 addons and Firefox said they were installed. I can start adding my add-ons again!
