I don't mean to be a party pooper, but can someone help me here?? I have a problem and I like some support here or a fix or 2. This is serious, I have been hopelessly succumbed to BCForum and I believe I have become an BCForum addict and that I can not extricate my self from it and get anything done!! I just want to eat and sleep BCForum. I am having too much fun in BC- more fun than a human being should have. All right, I confess I am a BCForum addict!! HELP! Help! Help me!!!! Please help! all remedy- old and new age or futuristic are most welcomed and appreciated. cough, cough!!

tg1911: DON'T BE SO NEGATIVE!!!! THERE IS ALWAY A SOLUTION. WITH ALL THESE BRAIN CELLS FLOWING AROUND IN BCFORUM, WE SHOULD BE ABLE to COME UP WITH A CURE. ALL THIS SMARTS, WE SHOULD PUT THEM IN TO PRODUCTIVE USE INSTEAD OF WASTING IT ON WORTHLESS COMPUTER ISSUES. THERES GOT TO BE A CURE! DON'T FORGET SUCCESS IS BROUGHT ABOUT BY UNITING RESOURCES TOWARDS A COMMON GOAL. I THINK WE SHOULD BEGIN TODAY BY TAKING THAT FIRST IMPORTANT STEP TOWARDS FINDING A CURE FOR ALL WHO HAS SUCCUMBED TO "BCFORUM ADDICT SYNDROM". LET US BEGIN BY TAKING A POLL OF OUR BCFORUM FAMILY MEMBERS WHETHER THEY THINK WHAT I PROPOSED IS A SOUND IDEA. AND ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE PROPOSE A POSSIBLE CURE FOR THE SAID PROBLEM AT HAND AS WELL. IT IS FOR A GOOD CAUSE, WITHOUT DELAY- EVERYONE KEEP THE MAIL COMING -FOR THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ENDEAVOR.

tg1911 is right I'm afraid.
There is no known cure. I have experienced a drastic reduction in my posts, perhaps within which lies the outline of a remedy, but no cure in sight. As remedies go, mine has it's drawbacks, too. Working at alternative projects, taking advantage of the weather, and other odd & sundry tasks done using the time I'd generally devoted to the quiet pursuit of my addiction to BC Forums, well ... it's not working. The lure of timely & appropriate information from kind & generous folk in copious quantities is too strong. Alas, I feel I'm resigning myself to simply accepting it. -------------------- patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...

PHAWGG: That was very profound and deep. Come to think of it , haven't seen you much lately. Is it the weather(Rain?) that you have succumb to( since you are in Washington state)?? Why not move to a drier climate( like the Arizona sun), it will enhance optimism and productivity?? By the way, you look exactly like your avatar(very nice, very angelic). It is good to put a face on who "phawgg" is and know who I am dealing with. Cheers. YOYO

Very well put,and it's comforting to see I am not the only one suffering from BC addiction.I have only been a member since oct 06, and I have become addicted in this short time. Do I think I have a problem: YES. Can I cure this addiction on my own: NO. Should I seek professional help: Maybe. Will I seek professional help: NO. I'm enjoying this high too much at the moment, and I hope it lasts for a long time into the future. DSTM. -------------------- |

Face it , ROB & DSTM -both of you are victimized. You poor -poor victims. Have fun where you step. Not cautious in taking steps away from your ideal state of safety can lead to tyranny. Watch out for the potholes. YOYO.
