ok what happened was that i recently just upgraded my computer from xp to vista and i have something that is called a boot maneger. it allows me to choose what progam i whould like to boot under three seconds . but i didn't want this so i tried to get this removed and boot directly to vista without even choosing but what happened was that actually decreased the 3 seconds to to 0 seconds and now it just goes to xp system setup all the time and the error message comes up constantly and i have no way of getting on windows vista now. how do i get back to vista to give me back my time.
plz help
i have an alienware laptop model 766
is there a command i can use in the command prompt in the recovery program for vista to get back to my vista login

What kind of boot manager is it? If it's the Vista boot manager, try booting with your Vista Installation disk. It'll give you a choice to repair your system - which "should" help (depending on what was changed). The tutorial for that is here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/repair-windows-with-windows-startup-repair/
