CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE? I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FORMAT A SATA HARD DRIVE,THE PROBLEM I'M HAVING IS , I
WAS TRYING TO REINSTALL WINDOWS ON A ACER ASPIRE3680 LAPTOP BUT KEEP SAYING CAN NOT FIND HARD DRIVE,
I WAS TOLD IT NEEDS FORMARTING BEFORE IT WILL RECOGNISE OR SEE THE HARD DRIVE PLEASE HELP.

The problem is that Windows does not have native SATA support, so you need to load the SATA driver during the installation process. See the following link for information:

I DO NOT HAVE A FLOPPY DRIVE ON THE LAPTOP SO WHAT ELSE COULD BE DONE, IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN INSTALL IT DIRECTLY TO THE HARD DRIVE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAST RESPOND.

thank you for help,what i need to know now is where to download the sata drivers from and how to install it on an unregonize hard drive how do you install the drivers first on to the hard drive . it is an acer laptop aspire 3680.
do i download it fro acer website or where .thank you for your help.

Not that familiar with Laptops, so bear with me,
You should be able to enter the BIOS, by tapping F2 during Post. Once the BIOS Utility has opened there should be an option to enable SATA under Boot Options.
