FWIW: Update on my "no post, no video" situation

After taking the system to a local shop I trust, it was found that the CPU had some bent pins. After these were straightened, the system proceeded to boot normally.
This is the type of situation that I've not experienced before and I am grateful to the shop personnel for taking the time and energy to troubleshoot something that I (probably) was responsible for and never would have solved on my own
