BleepingComputer.com: Problem With Internal Memory Card Reader

I have a generic internal memory card reader. The MemoryStick slot stopped working entirely. And whenever I insert an SD card, I have to push it in and pull it out like 20 times before it reads it. After about three minutes, it loses the connection and windows thinks it's ejected.

I have an ASUS A7A266 motherboard, and it's plugged into it's usb plug, whatever it's called.



Is it slowly dying? This started happening last week.

Another question: Can I buy a PCI card for more of those plugs in USB 2.0 speed?

I have yet to see any multi-card reader that was built half way decent. I've had to take them apart and reattach pieces. You might have to do likewise
