BleepingComputer.com: Error Upgrading Superantispyware

Hello,
I currently have Superantispyware Vers. 4.1.1046 installed. When I opened the app, I got a message in my taskbar that there was a new version available...Ver. 4.15.0.1000. It gives me the option to download and install now or install later.

When I click install now, an error pops up.

You must stop the scan and close the SuperAntispyware main screen before updating.

I am not running a scan. When I close the main screen, the program just closes and nothing happens.

I tried this on 2 different computers with 2 different configurations and I get the same error on each.

I never had this problem before when upgrading versions....only this time. I can still update my definitions, no problem.

Any thoughts??

Maybe their notification is faulty. I downloaded the new version yesterday at Filehippo and had no problem. It asked me if I wanted to uninstall the old version and that went without a hitch. So try it this way and see if it works.
