I've just got a new PC over the weekend and I am running Vista Ultimate. The first problem I am having is that the PC will not boot with Ipods attached. Once I get past this by disconnecting them, Windows will pick the Ipod up but in Device Manager the USB Mass Storage Device has an exclamation mark beside it. I've tried uninstalling and searching for hardware changes but it simply picks it up again with the exclamation mark. Despite this it does show up in Itunes and syncs OK. As far as the boot problem goes I have ensured that booting to USB devices is disabled and checked the boot order to ensure that Optical drive is first followed by the hard drive.
Any other suggestions or anyone who may have experienced this and managed to fix it would be greatly appreciated. I've tried to go into as much detail as I can without being too long winded.
