Dvd Drive Problem

My DVD drive no longer loads CDs and they do not show up in 'My Computer'. I noticed that actual DVD slot moves out slightly one way, which makes me think that I knocked the DVD slot when it was out. Which means I think this is a physical problem.

Is there any way I could fix this by myself?

Is there a disk inside that's jamming it? Look very closely at the player, underneath the tray. You'll see a small hole. Take a paper clip and straighten it out. place it in the hole and push. The tray should open, partially and you can grab it with your fingers and open it the rest of the way

No, there isn't a disk stuck in there. I can still open and close it. What I meant was that when it's open, I can pull it and it comes out further on the right. That makes me think that something on the right side has broken, and it's becoming dettached.

Do you think I need to buy a new drive?
