Yahoo Messenger Does Not Install...why? pls help

I have been installing ym for two days now. :thumbsup:

I have tried almost 4 different versions for countless times to no avail. When progress bar reaches 100% it stops and I could not see ym icon on the desktop that it usually does.I have just formatted my pc and am trying to install back all stuff I need and ym is one of those.Pls help in fact Ive uninstalled firefox thinking this could be bringing a conflict against the ie.Thanks

Firefox should not be preventing the installation.
Have you tried downloading the file to your hard drive, then installing?

Thanks....I just did not know why it was taking so long to download.It took me more than 3 hours to install it completely.Maybe it was the fact that I had selected custom install and even yahoo install manager and others that were not necessary were downloaded.When I left the computer,it installed successfully. Firefox was not actually giving any problem.It was just my wrong opinion.It boils down to one thing my being impatient.
