McAfee Total Protection w/ Site Advisor Plus
About to buy it cheap, (free after rebate-can't beat that - buy.com). I was wondering if it is any good. I know for free it's probably worth it, but don't want to get something that sucks just becuase it is free.
Thanks!

i had McAfee for awhile and it's o.k,but i've started using free aps and i find them more useful and less bloated than mcafee is. i also have the site advisor plugin - for free. i've also noticed that my computer runs better without mcafee. take a look at the free security apps first and maybe you'll find something you like.

The free security apps are also good, however if you chose to get the paid version it also works too.
I don't use McAfee but my friend does, he says that McAfee is great, I think he uses the paid version too, I saw its scan I thought it was good, its simple to use and the scans don't take too long. Well depends on how much folders/file you have on your computer. You can also use Avira which has a total protection but its the demo version unfortunatly.
