This solemn trust is carried forward by some.... but not enough.

This day is not a holiday. It's a day of remembrance to honor those that gave all in the USA for many.

//Aside: I'm sad to see that I'm the first to post about such.
The only easy day was yesterday.

...some do, some don't; some will, some won't (WR)

I agree KoanYorel, I'm a little surprised as well.

KoanYorel, I am in total agreement with you ....

Seems that almost everyone looks at Memorial Day as the beginning of the summer vacation instead of its true meaning.

It's a day to honor the ones who gave all. I spend that day at my VFW to be around people who think the same way and to help those who lost the ones they love.

I'm late here, but I agree. It's a solemn day, and I rightly feel that way. It's a day when I tear up at a parade or other presentation. I salute the flag and the men and women carrying it. I have no issues with our soldiers.
