I need help with a Hitachi Deskstar® 7K80 80 GB ATA-100 Hard Drive please. The problem: I had an old computer and it crashed, a severe motheboard issue, it started sparking, etc. So I've gotten another computer it is a Emachines W3644 the hard drive in it is a Hitachi Desktar HDS721616PLA380 and the capacity is 160 GB. I want the data off the old 7K80 hard drive onto the new one, and I want them hooked up into the same tower, at the same time. So what would I need to set the jumpers to? Thanks for all your help
Note: The attachment is of the first mentioned hard drive (the Hitachi Deskstar® 7K80 80 GB ATA-100) I don't have a picture for the other one, thanks again!

Your optical drive is connected to the Master position of the IDE cable, this leaves the Slave (middle) connector. You want to set the jumper on the rear of the old hdd to the slave position and connect the hdd to the Slave connector. This tutorial should help with any questions that you may have.
You may have to go into the BIOS to enable the Slave drive.
To transfer the data from the old hdd to the new hdd, right click on Start, click on Explore. Once this is opens click on the Slaved drive to open it, you will be able to click and drag files from the old hdd to the new one.
