Hello!
I am running a Vista Home Premium HP laptop with Comodo Firewall, AVG 8, and Threatfire.
In an HP Health Check scan today, the health check application told me that an HP Health Check update is avaliable, so I proceeded to install the update. However, during the installation I received an error saying:
"Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file c:\Windows\Installer\HP Active Support Library.msi"
The updater then proceeds to roll back the actions and at the end, it produces this message:
"Error: -1603 Fatal Error during installation"
Then, a windows application, the Program Compatibility Assistant gives me a message saying:
"This program may not have installed correctly"
And gives me two options: "Reinstall using recommended settings" or "This program installed correctly"
While the HP Health Check application is far from essential, what can I do to install this update or figure out what's going wrong?
