Directx Problem

When I try to run CoD4 I get the following error

"Directx encountered an unrecoverable error
See readme for possible solutions."

This game was running fine on my desktop until now. I have no idea what caused this. I also looked at the readmes and what not and found no problem fixes. Maybe I missed something? not sure.

SPECS
1GB ram
6800XT GeForce 256MB
3.0GHz P4 processor
320GB WD Caviar

UPDATE: I seem to have fixed this problem with a simple restart of my computer. :thumbsup: finally an easy fix for me!

Troubleshooting DirectX
Click Start - Run, type: dxdiag
Tests are self explanatory.

Well, it wasnt a directX problem really, I ran a different game (Garry's Mod) And got an error "WARNING: OS Paged Pool Memory Low" a freind told me to reboot that something was using up my RAM or some such. I rebooted and everything is fine :thumbsup:

Good to hear you got it worked out.
Due to the title of your post 'Directx Problem' I went
ahead and posted about the diagnostics directx can perform,
just in case someone else has a DX issue. :thumbsup:
