Hi, I have had my HP Pavilion since 3-2004, myself and my two teenaged daughters, have used it a lot, and am wondering, how to eliminate the clutter and old files, I no longer either want or use. I do see sone files, that I should clean out. I am an intermediate , and can understand most things on computers, I just need some guidance on this one. Thanks in advance! Its much appreciated.

I use CCleaner all the time, and i also use the registry cleaner, i always of course backup the registry, my computer performance improve after the first re-start, and it even gives you a list of unused items in your registry and after letting it run i have never had a problem...

Hey! Are you talking about removing old applications or just removing old files that you've created on the machine? Just wasn't sure from your post if you meant old junk files, that you could use CCleaner for, or old data files, which you'd have to use something else for.
