I am total noob with Linux but wanted to try it so any help or a user friendly intro would be great  Thanks! David EDIT: Any games to get for it  ?

firewall and AV arent really needed but you can look into Guarddog and AVG for linux should you desire them. Check out the intro o Linux stickied in the Linux section of the forum. As for games Seurebraten(Cube2) is a cool FPS and PokerTH is an open source Texas Hold'em card game. My favorite 2 games personally (besides the ever present Aisle Riot Solitaire)
