How can I find out if my computer is set up corectly and is not missing anything. I have dial up service and I had problems with the computer shutting down on me when I had the old ISP. when I uninstalled it, the system didn't fail anymore. Switched to a different ISP (dialup) can't download thins from AOL or Yahoo or a download mananger or the accelerator. It tells me there is no connection but I am conected I am not offline. I don't know if it is the internet explorer tha tis messed up or it is the ISP. So far it has been blamed ont he computer by the ISP but I think it is them. I didn't have this problem witht he other ISP but they kept crashing the system. I just need to find out how I can make sure that i am not missing something that had to be downloaded from Windows XP Professional Servicepack 2. The computer was given to me a few months ago so I don't know if anything is missing or if it is not set up right. I am looking to change to a wireless ISP and have to sign a contract I don't want to have any problems with the computer and end up having to pay for the ISP for 2 yrs. if the computer is not working right. Thanks for any help.
