My friend has Charter for her ISP. She has never been able to use outlook express which she desperately wants to do. This is the message she gets.

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'mail.charter.net', Server: 'mail.charter.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
I would appreciate any ideas on how to remedy this..

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Pop E-mail applications and servers are very persnickety about dotting every "i" and crossing every "t," and never forgive even minor typos. It would not hurt to doublecheck every entry made when setting up the account against the ISP instructions.
Cheers,
John
