I love this feature but having problems--finally uninstalled it tonite, then re-installed it. same problem=envelope ..icon in tray has exclamation mark over it--when cursor on icon message boxappears above saying "temporarily logged off". my gmail still works fine - am receiving & sending mail ok--just not getting notification or sound of incoming mail. Any gmail user here w\ any troubleshooting ideas i can try? thanx in advance. wacko.gif

Problem solved--just did away w\ gmail notifier altogether & downloaded google talk which has musical alert for gmails. had to take a bunch of other stuff to get it in the so-called "google pack" [like google earth, spyware doctor, updater,etc but was an easy way to recover that non-functioning feature I like of gmail alerts. Hope this helps any other "newbies" like myself wih a similar problem. thumbup.gif
