It's true that replying to logs take a while, but that's because the logs themselves take quite a while to analyze if there's a lot of entries, or if there's vague information supplied. You must also understand that there is a sheer outnumber of posted logs and number of helpers. And a handful of the people who post never even bother to reply, causing the HJT Team members to waste time.

We are all volunteers, and while we do enjoy helping others, I don't find it necessary to just sit in front of the computer all day churning out replies to help them. I'm 14, and I actually have somewhat of a life outside of school.

Perhaps if you feel that the HJT Team is not efficient enough, you might want to consider joining along in helping everyone? tongue.gif

"If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way." - Bertrand Russell

I like the business clients that send their bookkeeper over with her computer and she wants me to remove the infection while she waits so she can write checks, image?

As long as you're getting paid, what's the difference?

The reality is that many of the users here have no idea what an image is or have the technical knowledge to create and restore them. Due to this, other methods are needed to clean their computers. For those who image their computers regularly, then yes it is an adequate solution in cleaning many computers. Unfortunately, this is not a common practice.

I think that is an adequate enough answer and no need to continue grinding this thread into the ground.
