Hi, can anyone recommend a good free download for photo editing? I have received pictures that I would like to use as my background but they are too small. When I try to stretch them out to fit my screen, they are unrecognizable. They are jpeg images. Help!! I have xp pro. sp2 120gig hd and 2gigs of ram.

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Unfortunately, there is a realistic limit to how much you can enlarge a file without distortion or fuzziness using any photo editor. A .jpg file of 17Kbs cannot take the place of one of 345Kbs, for example. What you can do with a photo editor, however, is to make a panorama (or collage) incorporating several of the smaller pictures on a larger background that will fill the screen and not produce distortions.
Cheers,
John
