I have just bought a new PC with Vista Home Premium installed. It has three partitions.

FAT 16 - Dell Utilities
(NTFS) C: Operating System - Vista Home Premium
(NTFS) D: Recovery Partition containing Dell's PCRestore and an ImageX image of the Operating System

I would like to backup these partitions using Ghost 2003. I have always used it on a bootable floppy (on my XP machine) but this new PC does not have a floppy so I have used Nero to create a bootable CD from this floppy. It does indeed boot and goes into Ghost but just before it throws up the welcome message, it just freezes the computer. End of story.

Has anyone successfully used Ghost 2003 with Vista? What do I need to do?

Thank you

Symantec claims that Norton Ghost 12 will be released April 18, 2007, and will officially support Windows Vista.

I doubt 2003 is compatible with VISTA
