My first guess is to make sure that both Comodo and AVG aren't restricting you.
Second...right click on Windows Media Player, choose properties, then click the 'securities' tab. At the bottom, click on the link, "Learn about access control and Permission". -------------------- MS MVP Windows-Security 2006-2008

Try this... go to C:/program files/ windows media player/ setup_wm.exe
Right click on setup_wm.exe, choose to run as administrator. This hopefully will reset WMP back as your default player. -------------------- MS MVP Windows-Security 2006-2008

I wonder if there's an older version of any of the different players on your system (Shockwave, RealPlayer, Flash, etc) that could be causing this. Try updating all the addons that play things in your browser to see if that's the issue.

Sorry for the sparse information - but there's a bunch of things that could be causing this.
I'd first suggest a couple of these free, online scans to ensure that there's no malware on the system. Be advised that some of these scanners will pickup things in "quarantine" from other anti-virus programs - so review the results carefully: http://housecall.trendmicro.com http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/solutions/activescan/ http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs/default.asp http://onlinescan.avast.com/ http://ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ <links compiled on 02/14/2008> -------------------- - John

And one or two of them would run because computer wont let me run as Administrator. BUt from what those computer scanners said there was nothing found on my computer. So where do i go from here.
