Trying to help a friend out and their Systemax desktop with Windows XP just stopped working last week. The computer goes back to 2000. Any suggestions of where I might start. All connections are intact. ISP is Verizon.

Run the following command at the Command Prompt:

CODE
ipconfig /all >> press [Enter]

Copy/Paste or post an image of the results. That will give us a better picture of what is going on with the network connections.

Or, post all the connection objects which appear in the Network Connections applet. I can guide you from there.
