NOt sure where i should have posted this but if this wrong im hoping it will get moved to the right thread...

I have an issues with my DVD burner It is in my laptop so i use it for listening to music, watching movies, burning cds and i want to burn to DVD but i cant for some stupid reason?

The model is ... TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532M

I can burn stuff to a CD fine but i have some large audio clips i'd like to have backed up.

Can i get some guidelines to what things i should know or look at to burn data to a dvd? I use the sonic software. Ive tried to 'drag and drop' to the dvd drive via windows explorer. But i always get the same results. It will burn some of it to the dvd then it just stops and says there was an error. And the stuff that does get burnt i cant view? So to my knowledge it CAN burn data to it but it just doesnt like to burn all of it.

I have tried to put different types of files like .txt .wav .mp3 images of other dvd's photos etc. in hopes it just doesnt like certian file types, but I always get the same result.

Im getting frustrated.

BOOURNS!!!!

What is the full name/version of the software you use when attempting these burns?

Seems to be a number of similar complaints about this drive.

Have you tried a firmware update, available at the website of the system manufacturer?

System manufacturer/model?

Louis
