Also would like to know if there is a way to list a directory - in Dos you used to do Dir and then you could print it out. Anything that can do that? This post has been edited by NotVeryTechie: Apr 30 2008, 07:57 AM |

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. Evernote is a new startup that I read about last week on TechCrunch.

Thank you. Had a look at evernote and it looks as though it uses the web, I don't have a web connection. My main reason for wanting this is that I have a lot of web addresses that I want to store with a description so that I can search later on and find the bits I am looking for. I also have lots of help files and guides that I have copied and downloaded and want to make those keyword searchable and keep them in one place. Maybe I will just have to build a little database.

Hey there! .. I think that EverNote 3, which is in beta, also has a desktop module.. So you may want to take a look at that.. I think that if you don't have an Internet connection, you can still store your notes on your PC. Hope that helps!
