Basically, I am trying to make a signature out of animated letters like this: here only not as fancy. I don't want it spinning etc, and it has to be under 10 KB I want to take images of different coloured letters, upload them to photobucket, then link to them to use as a signature. I need a code I can add to each frame and then use UnFREEz Also, when I upload an animated gif to photobucket, it is not animated when I link to it. And what do I have to do to codes such as the one below so I can use it as a signature? <a href="http://AeonGraphix.Com" alt="AeonGraphix.Com"><img src="http://AeonGraphix.Com/alpha/style8/w.gif" border="0" alt="Animated Text by AeonGraphix.Com"><img src="http://AeonGraphix.Com/alpha/style8/w.gif" border="0" alt="Animated Text by AeonGraphix.Com"></a> Any help will be greatly appreciated White Warrior -------------------- |

This board uses BBCode, not HTML.
The code you would use to put an image in your sig, using the image you posted: CODE [img]http://aeongraphix.com/alpha/style8/w.gif[/img] The above code would produce: ![]() Here's a good tutorial on using BBCode: BB Code Application, Choosing colors, fonts, size, etc. QUOTE I want to take images of different coloured letters, upload them to photobucket, then link to them to use as a signature. I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, about using UnFREEz.I need a code I can add to each frame and then use UnFREEz To use UnFREEz you need to load the individual images into it (no code needed). Set a Frame delay. Put a check in the Loop Animation box, and then click Make Animated GIF. The image created, is the one you would upload to PhotoBucket. I explain how to use UnFREEz in Post #2 of this tutorial: Resizing An Animated Gif . . This post has been edited by tg1911: Apr 30 2008, 10:38 PM -------------------- I love being married.

Hello tg1911
Thanks for answering. Can I be a real pain in the !!!!!! and ask you to help me please. I’ll try to explain myself better somehow. I want to take an image such as: ![]() Copy it say 5 times, then animate those 5 images so I can use UnFREEz. I don’t know how to do the animation. Because it is going to be a signature, it has to be kept under 10KB If you copy the code below into Fass please it will show you what I want to end up with. CODE [img]http://www.iconbazaar.com/alphabets/animated/rainbow/rnbw_r1a.gif[/img] I don’t want it spinning, like your avatar, just the colours moving. White Warrior. -------------------- |

QUOTE Copy it say 5 times, then animate those 5 images so I can use UnFREEz. I don’t know how to do the animation. UnFREEz, is what does the animation. You would have to make an image with the colors, where you want them. Then, make another image with the colors moved a little. Then, make another image with the colors moved a little more, and keep doing this, until your colors have cycled all the way through, from top to bottom. Each image would have to be in the GIF format. Once you had all of your images complete, then you would load them into UnFREEz, to make your animation. I took the "A" you linked to, and extracted the individual frames. There were 19 frames, that made up that GIF. I removed the rotating frames, which left me 6 frames, to use. I converted them to GIFs, and ran them through UnFREEz, and this is what I ended up with: ![]() You'll notice the colors don't cycle all the way through. The Yellow gets about halfway down, and then the cycle starts over. That's because when the Yellow gets to that point, is where the rotating frames start, but since I removed the rotating frames, the rest of the cycle is lost. That image is 12.9kb, but the file size can be reduced considerably by playing around with the image quality settings, in Irfanview. In UnFREEz, I set the Frame delay to 20. A higher setting would make it cycle slower, and a lower setting would make it cycle faster. -------------------- I love being married.

Hello tg1911
I found GifWorks and extracted the frames I needed, put them through UnFREEz and they work perfectly in Fass Now my only problem is they won't work on this forum. Do you know why? When I upload to photobucket I get a Server IO error could that be the problem? ![]() White Warrior -------------------- |

QUOTE When I upload to photobucket I get a Server IO error Sounds like the problem is with Photobucket. I see the animated "G" that you posted. If you can upload successfully to Photobucket, but you can't view the image properly on the forums after you post it, it's probably a problem with your cache. Try clearing it. You could have extracted the frames using Irfanview, if you have it installed. Open the animated .gif in Irfanview, then select Options / Extract all frames... It'll extract them to .bmp files. Then use Irfanview to convert them to .gif, before running them through UnFREEz. . . This post has been edited by tg1911: May 1 2008, 08:00 PM -------------------- I love being married.

You're quite welcome, White Warrior.
QUOTE I'm sorry about the missing G What missing "G"?I see the one's you posted in Post #'s 5, and 8. Can't you see them? Have you cleared your browsers cache? QUOTE Will go and learn about Irfanview. You can find several Irfanview tutorials in the Mini guides and how-tos forum, under the Images, Image Editing, Image Viewing sub-forum.I included a video, with most of them. Hello tg1911
I thought you might like to see my final effort. I'm still not seeing them animated on the forums. Are they animated to you? I've cleaned my cache, ran CCleaner and turned all my add-ons off----so it's got me beat. I'll be happy if other people can see them. And I'm sorry for bothering you. Sending me to one of your own tutorials. That's when I realized who\what you are. You could have done it for me in your sleep. Anyway, thanks again. ![]() White Warrior -------------------- |

No bother, White Warrior.
That's what we're here for. I see the image animated. Is it only your images, you don't see animated, or all of the images on the forum? Try logging out of BC, not just closing the page, but logging out, using the Log Out link at the top of the page. Then clear your cache, and close your browser. Re-open your browser, log back in, and see if you can see them animated. What browser are you using? -------------------- I love being married.

Are you planning on putting more than oen fo those animated letters in your signature? If you are, I believe there is a one image limit for signatures here at BC David |

Hello tg1911
It is only my gifs that are not moving. Your avatar is spinning nicely Tried logging out etc. Didn't work. It is the same result for both Firefox (default) and IE. Tried adjusting Zone Alarm settings, still no luck. Logic says if I can see yours, then I should be able to see mine. White Warrior -------------------- |

If you are, I believe there is a one image limit for signatures here at BC David It is possible to put all the letters/images into one picture file :-) which is what White Warrior could do if he wanted, so long as its below the maximum size limit.. -------------------- |
