Problem is that I create publisher documents, usually 2-4 pages long and then want to send them to colleagues. They cannot open the document(s) so I have to make copies and send them physical copies of the document. No, they do not have Publisher and/or the 2007 version of Word so even when I make .dotx, I have to convert to .doc for them. I have been searching ways to convert then, my publisher(.pub) documents to a word document (.doc) so they can read/use them. any suggestions if this cn even be done?

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Hi theesponja.
MS has the .pub file format locked up tight. Nobody makes a direct conversion application.
There are a couple things that come to mind that will work.
1. Use the "Save As" function within Publisher to save it as a web page (htm, html). It can be viewed or printed using any web browser. Would certainly be the easiest option for you personally.
2. Take a screen capture\captures of your pubs. Save them in a common image format such as .jpg, then paste the images into a word doc.

don't know if this post is still open or not.

If you have office 2007 install the save as pdf addon available from the ms office update site if you have a genuine copy.

then you can simply save as pdf and they can view the docs no matter which MS application created them by using Adobe reader or foxit pdf reader., Ps i recommend the latter.

They are both freeware.

hope this helps.
