Hiya guys just a quick one if I Can........

My system is all working fine just a niggly thing that does my head in, still cant work it out.

Been using nero 6 for few years now no probs, updated to nero 8 and didnt like it. Uninstalled nero 8 and I am now back with nero 6. All good and well but when I insert maybe a dvd or flash drive with video on, or anything, when the popup comes saying 'what would you like to do' and has a list of programs, nero 8 programs are still on the list, if i click one nothing happens.

Curious as to if I can get rid of this on the menus etc?? Nero 8 has lots more features that intigrate in windows...??

Thanks for any help guys...

Uninstall everything Nero, 6 and 8. Then download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility Look for anything that says Nerp, check it's box and run the utility. Then reinstall Nero 6. See if that works

I have been using nero 6.6.018(no yahoo toolbar) for a year and a half, about every six months I uninstall it, run the clean tool and reinstall

and you won't ever see me installing any off the wall burning applications

that's one application I want to work right every time

hiya guys, thanks for the quick replies!!!!

Downloaded and ran the nero uninstaller..worked a treat, no more annoying nero entries in the autoplay popup...

Only thing is it has removed all the entries in the popup, as in says there are more than one fle type which do i want to open with, but the list is empy lol....any ideas?

Baffling why nero would make the applications to leave bits behind any how!!!!

uninstall nero 6, run the 6 clean tool

reboot

reinstall

I tell nero not to do anything, I will pick and choose what I want to do, after all it's my computer and I have other programs I use for similar tasks

I do install package 2 for nero showtime, it rocks, vision is just so so

I leave the other crud off

One wonders how a company can justify creating a program that does its job well, and then pasting everything but the kitchen sink onto it so when you install it it spreads its digital feces all over your computer. I'm looking in your direction Nero... mad.gif
