Sounds way cool. Hmm. I see that it comes installed with wireless internet connection stuff. Wonder if it could be rigged up with the appropriate modem for dial-up, DSL or other internet connection.
Note: the Arstechnica link produces an error message. I have been unable to find the correct link. I will bet the laptop (not) that BC will thrive and get a sudden torrent of new users. Sigh. And I see this place doesn't believe in cleaning up inactive members.

QUOTE Ah, and did I mention yours were among the best? *removes foot from mouth* Seriously, I'm looking forward to the review. Am especially curious how hot it runs, although there are a lot of other aspects that should be interesting, too. Will this review happen to be available before the contest starts? Also, it would be wise for someone like myself to get parental permission before entering right? If I won this I would got beserk! I so want/need a laptop with Office especially so that I can use it for homework and to study up on computers aswell as do the many things I regularly do. 4Gb RAM - Holy Cow *Mouth literally falls to ground* Anyway, Grinler is there any word of what we need to do for the contest - entering etc. ? Also, I myself must thank HP and BuzzCorps for giving members like myself and others the chance to win things like this David (I did read right that each site has only one to give away and not each site has 31 to give away each day?) There's one being given away from each site. Which is 31 in TOTAL. It'd be awesome if it were each though.

I wouldn't be complaining though
I've been advertising around school, and they all look at me like I'm some kinda school idiot. They tell me that April 1st was exactly 1 month ago, get a life Parents think it's a scam. Sigh. -------------------- "If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. I won't let my parents find out
I will enter regardless. This will easily make up for that XP I was hoping to buy before the whole June deadline thing comes. -------------------- "If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. They are all independent contests. So as far as I know, you can enter on multiple sites. That may change, but at this point you can join each contest.
As for parental permission, we will see as we go. Still in the planning stages and have some time before we go live here. As for the rules at the other sites with age requirements, you should read the rules at the various sites. We are all doing the contest differently. -------------------- Lawrence

While no computer is perfect, this is quite a powerful "Notebook" - it's more of an "attache case".
To carry around a 20" screen, regardless of the weight, is sweet, that's for sure. I am a bit disappointed that it doesn't handle Blu-Ray DVD's, though. I mean, to the victor goes the spoils, and Blu-Ray certainly won the war. -------------------- |
