2GHz Processor, SATA 160GB Hard Drive, SATA Optiarc DVD Drive, 2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM, and i've tried to install MS Vista Home Basic without any success. First it comes up with a msg saying it needs drivers for the HD so I try the Drivers disc that came with the Mo/Bo no joy. Phoned MS they said I needed to become a certified MS dealer so I joined when I phone them back they tell me they want to charge me £46 before they will even try to help (no assurance that they can) if they were for me they would now have Ubunu on them but unfortunately they aint, can anybody help me? OK this may be sad but it looks like i'm gonna have to answer my own question.
I was trying to install the OS on a Samsung 160Gb SATA2 hard drive that was not compatible with this motherboard. I put in a Maxtor SATA2 and Bingo all done. You would have thought the supplier would have known this but hey alls well etc. cheers J. |
