Hello everyone! I really need some help with this assignment. Got the results that the professor wanted but I truly don't understand it.
Q5. Press Ctrl+c to exit the ping command. Open the /etc/hosts file in a text editor and add a line like this one to the end of the file. Then save the file and close the text editor. E.g. 155.99.1.2 www.utah.edu
A5. Updated ping number is 155.97.137.29
Q6. Ping the same site again. This time the IP address is taken from the /etc/hosts file instead of DNS. Explain why in 50- 100 words. Try ping www.utah.edu
