Thanx alot for the quick reply Animal. I wish it was going to that easy (or maybe it will be?) But it isn't listed in the add/remove list because it wasn't installed, it was this one : "Start by creating a new shortcut( right click and select New> Shortcut). Then in the command line box, type (without the quotes.)

'C:\windows\rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindowsexec' "
Is there even away to get at it to remove it? Not really a huge issue, i would like to remove it and the command. Thanks alot for you r help.

Tried which trick/s and which exe? I'm not sure what it is you're referring to.

Getting rid of the shortcut is as simple as deleting it like any other file.

Removing the command it invoked (exitwindowsex), were it possible, would be very very very bad.

Just delete the shortcut.

I am not quite sure what you mean? If you mean restart the computer by hitting the reset button rather than turning it off or restarting the computer thru windows than Yeah it will hurt you operating system.
Your computer need to shut down via Windows so that it can save the changes made when it boots. You can corrupt files if you don't shut down Windows properly.

If I'm interpreting this correctly, I'm assuming that the stuff that you're in a hurry to get rid of is, shall we say, stuff that the local authority figure (boss? Mom? teacher?) would frown upon.

Here's a neat way to avoid both trouble from that authority figure and your operating system: Microsoft's Virtual Desktop Manager for Windows XP. this is a Microsoft created Power Toy that creates four independant desktops and taskbars on startup. That way you can have the "stuff" all on desktop #1 and the collected works of William Shakespeare displayed on #2. When the authority figure comes by, a quick key combo (usually Alt + #, where # = the number of the desktop, 1-4) instantly switches to whichever desktop you indicate. The alternate desktop does not display even the taskbar icons for programs/documents running in other desktops. Switching back is just as easy.

Visit the XP Power Toys page at Microsoft and download it (it's towards the bottom of the page)

To the recent replies:

Im a naughty boy, and sometimes im meant to be studying, instead of playing computer games...as you would all agree thats a nughty thing.

So when my parents come home, its convenient to just hit the "restart"button on the tower, instead of exiting my game, going to start, and then restart, as Hitting the restart button IS much more quicker and safer...

SO my question is, does this damage my computer???

And if it does, what are some programs i can use that can kil the pogram instanly and then reboot in a m,icro second....if thats not to much to ask.

Being a parent, I must say that there's absolutely no way to do this other than by obeying your parents!

But, as a former member of good standing in the "naughty boys club" (and probably still am now - but the wife has replaced the parents) the easiest way is to hit the Alt-Tab keyboard combo and instantly switch to another running application (I keep a RootKit analyser running in my taskbar for this purpose). The only other problem is simultaneously hitting the power off on the speakers.

Then just Alt-Tab back into it when the danger has passed!

Finally, as a mixture of both parent and naughty boy - eventually they're gonna catch onto this trick. Are you prepared to accept the consequences - whatever they may be?
