Stackhash Error - App Crash App Crash - Vista

I am using Windows Vista Ultimate edition. I have Sony Vegas Pro 8 installed in my PC. But once I tried to start the application it says "Windows has stopped working". The Application Crashed and this is what I receive.

This information posted in another forum seemed to help some others with the same problem.

Go to system properties and advanced system settings then where it says performance click on that and then on the Data Execution Prevention tab, make sure "turn on dep for all programs and services except those I select" is on and click on add which will then let you browse around, browse to the sony folder in the program files and find the vegas80.exe file and add that and apply, that's it. Start up Vegas and see what happens.

Hi,

I've tried the ways you told me to and still there's no luck. I think Sony Vegas does have problem with Vista. Anyway Thanks for the Help. I am trying to use other editing software now.
