i use embarq dsl on pc im on now. thats what i want to use on win98 pc. that was the reason for upgrade. i have a D-link (DFE-690TKD) but dont have original install disc (for drivers) so i was trying to get online to get right drivers. but i might just buy a new cardbus pc card. any suggestions ?? thanks again for everything..one more thing i get error on screen "your system allows only 6 instance(s) of TCP/IP" any ideas.. i have no idea what that means ..thanks

keithuk thanks for link i looked at it.. the embarq tech that helped me connect (after new D-link drivers) had me remove 4 bad TCP\IP entries. so its all cleared up. thanks again (im sure you all will hearing from me again). kenny
