Hi all,

i learnt basic C++, long time ago ... but now i 'm not really in touch. bt i 've always wondered where programmers would be using it in practical scenario. i 'm not trying to insult C++, as i know its very powerful language (after english smile.gif ...) ... but just curious to know the usages where it can be handy. few examples would help ...

Thanks in advance ...

Hey! I used to do some programs in C++ working with the DirectX SDK. Everything else I do is in VB.

I thought it was a nice interview also. there are going to be a few more interviews with other game developers over the next few weeks (at least that is what I have been told) smile.gif

I have used C++ for applications and systems (ie not games) programming and in teaching for years and will continue to do so. I used VB in the past (version 4) and tried MS Visual C++ but found it preferable to move away from the Microsoft environment. Just my own personal choice.

One famous person was aked "Do you play the piano?". He replied "I don't know, I haven't tried yet!".
