Adobe Illustrator Cs3 Crashing When Opening Files

Hi Everyone. I am a IT helpdesk tech at my company and we seem to be having allot of problems with our new Adobe programs latley. With this one when ever we go to into Illustrator and go Open we see the window open breifly then dissapears and the program locks up. The same thing happens when we go to use the "Place" option. We had this problem with Photoshop (which is what lead me to this great forum :D) and I was able to fix it by turning off "Enable Version Cue" in the "File Handling" preferences. I tried this but it did not fix anything.

We were able to bypass the problem my shrinking the window and dragging files into it to open them but I am looking for a perminant fix for it. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

There was quite the discussion about something similar HERE. Be sure to read all of the posts-there's a lot of great info in them. :thumbsup:
