Can you be a little more descriptive? Are you able to boot into Windows at all? What does the computer do when you turn it on and what errors does it give you? If you're hoping to recover files, you can put the drive in another computer or use a USB enclosure to attempt to retrieve them

When you boot the machine does the drive show up in the BIOS? You have the jumpers set correctly, yes?

Once a disk has been formatted, all of the disk is set to 0s, meaning data recovery through software is not possible. (Assuming the (default) full format mode). Quick format does not reset to 0.
To my knowledge, if the system was not full formatted, something like TestDisk may be able to recover your partition table, though I have not ever tried it myself. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk Have a nice day, Billy3 -------------------- In the event I fail to reply within twenty-four hours, feel free to send me a PM.
