Thanks

All ok here and I can see a definite improvement in file transfering.

I agree! The File Transferring is much faster, good improvements! SP1 speeded up my computer, and I am happy with it... No more explorer.exe crashes, Nothing negative to report!

File transferring is by far, far faster!
Also, using 32 bit Vista w/ SP1, I can now "see" my 4 Gigs of ram. Still cant utilise it

Using SP1 and no problems to report, working well. Faster file transfer as mentioned and id say a slight increase in start up time aswell

Greetings! I have been using SP1 for about a week now, file xfer is much faster but my RDP sessions hang on exit and attemp to reconnect, also my list of installed programs does not ever load now. I am thinking of reinstalling and doing sp1 w/o any progs installed to see if it makes a difference which it should. At least it didn't mess up any of my apps.

Did the download install on 19th of Mar, so far no problems.

Am reluctant to use that get rid of old Vista files utility though.

Downloaded and installed this evening. First go round ended with installation error--Code: 0x8007005 with a link from Microsoft for explanation. Tried all of their recommendations to no avail. So, I tried my idea of running in Safe Mode with network connection. Success! Haven't noticed any other problems but this post is in the infancy of the installation. Hoping all goes well as previous posts have indicated!

works for me a few customizing programs incompatible with sp1 because M$ somehow don't like customization a bit faster here and there but in the end you will have sp1 by April theres no way out of it windows update forces you and cannot cancel so you will have to get it anyway if windows update is not working just download it from M$ site
