Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

I am running the 7.5 AVG free edition of the virus software. It says that my system is out of date. I have run the update and have restarted my computer. What do I need to do.

Thanks.

If the message you are getting is that your system is out of date, check your Windows clock time. The am/pm, date & year have to be totally correct for AVG to function properly.

After correcting the date/time, open the AVG Test Center and click Scheduler, then click Scheduled Tasks. Edit the schedule for the update and disable it. Close it and then open it right back up and re-enable the update schedule.
This will reset the schedule to the correct date/time again.
