BleepingComputer.com: Connection Issues For Warcraft Games +more

Ok so here's the deal.

Earlier today I was playing warcraft three. It was working fine and life was great. I got bored and went downstairs to play my Wii. I tried to connect to the internet to play brawl and it seemed to work fine for a while, I brawled a friend online. Then it disconnected me. I figured it was just due to lag and went and ate lunch. I went back to play wc3.

Every time I log into battle.net it lets me in just fine. At first as soon as I entered a Channel I would get the error. Connection to battle.net lost. Then after waiting some time the time lengthend. it gets to about 2-3 minutes before it kicks me off now.

I have configured both my norton anti-virus firewall and the router firewall on my 2wire router. Also I have the routher/modem plugged directly into my comp so for wc3 I am not even using wireless.

AT&T is my provider and I called them. They were cool about it and tried to help me but couldn't find anything wrong. They did a troubleticket for my line and found now errors with my connection. Therefore as far as I know right now there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. This makes sence because when I get kicked off of battle.net for wc3 I can log right back in. I never get disconnected from the internet.

I thought it might be spyware so I downloaded the new adaware and cleared that from my computer. Didn't work. Thought I might have a virus so I restored my computer back until last thursday. Still the same problem.

I figured I would try another game. So i tried to connect to World of warcraft. Same thing it lets me log in and I can play for like 2 minutes and then disconnects me from the game.

I thought it might be an issue with blizzard but I also noticed that my gmail account (google's email), isn't working properly. Its supposed to be a dynamic page that refreshes my friends online on the left hand side. I get an error msg. Enable to reach gmail please check your internet connection. I can send and recieve emials fine but the dynamic part is having connection issues.


It seems like something is "refreshing" is a way my connection every 2 minutes which doesn't disrupt my connection to the internet but knocks me off anything else that is maintaining a connection.

Please help I dont know what else to try.
