Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

This may seem like a dumb question, but do I need to LOGOFF prior to shutting down my computer at the end of the day? I have Vista Home Premium, and have only two accounts, an Admin one which I rarely use and always log off when I'm done with it, and a general account that is used for day-to-day stuff. It almost seems like the LOGOFF command on the general account is an unnecessary step....but I don't want to skip it if, indeed, it does something beneficial prior to the SHUTDOWN step.

Thanks in advance for the help.

No. Shutting down logs you out by itself.
