My computer boots but told me that the boot failed and asked for a boot diskette. So I downloaded the Me version from bootdisk.com, extracted to a floppy then inserted that into the computer and turned it on. It booted into dos with the disc and it asked me to partition the drive so in dos it told me to type FDISK so I typed FDiSK then it told me, no fixed drives could be found. It then told me to run scandisk/all, I did and I went through the surface scan also and it found no problems. So now what do I do?

More than likely if you ran FDISK, you now have a hard drive that needs to be reformated and reinstall ME
