Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

I keep getting an alert in my Event Viewer but I am not sure what to do. I changed the server name , obviously, but I could use some help.

Logon Failure:
Reason: Unknown user name or bad password
User Name: admin
Domain:
Logon Type: 3
Logon Process: Advapi
Authentication Package: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0
Workstation Name: FakeSERVER
Caller User Name: FakeSERVER$
Caller Domain: AES
Caller Logon ID: (0x0,0x3E7)
Caller Process ID: 1580
Transited Services: -
Source Network Address: -
Source Port: -

When I googled the issue it said to make sure I have the latest SP, I do, or to download a hotfix. I got the hotfix but while I will trying to install it I got a message saying it had no new info so there was no need to install it. Any ideas?

Hi, the error relates to some one logging onto the server network with either the incorrect user name and or password.
