Need to understand how to correct this problem. My brother is using an ACER Aspire 9420 laptop with VISTA Ultimate OS. Been using Netzero software to access the internet for some time on his older computer without any difficulty. With this new ACER computer, he is having the following problem. Upon loading the Netzero software and accessing the internet, gets a message that the Netzero is corrupted and stops running. Has to unload and reload the netzero software to get back on the internet, only to have it get corrupted again after a short while.

Any suggestions on how to correct this, or to determine why it is happening?

Has he tried running Netzero in Administrator (Right click on icon, Run As Administrator) mode or in XP2 compatibility mode (right click, Properties, Compatibility tab (if you don't see it, you need to find the primary program and not shortcut icon, usually located in C:\Program Files\<name of program>\<something>.exe)?

Thanks for the suggestion, JCP411. I'll tell him to try this if he hasn't already. What's even more puzzling is that I, too, have the very same Acer Aspire 9420 laptop computer, and Netzero loaded and works fine on mine. Both computers, his and mine, were bought in January 2008 from the same store, and were in the original shipping containers from the manufacturer. His is having the problem, while mine doesn't.
